Jane Mullen Coady

Jane was born July 18, 1943, in Phoenix, AZ, to Patrick Joseph Mullen and Dorothy Hagerty Mullen. She had a great time growing up in Phoenix, where she spent most of her life. She attended St. Francis Xavier Elementary and both Xavier High and St. Mary's High, graduating in 1961 from St. Mary's. She attended the University of Arizona and graduated from Arizona State University (ASU) with a degree in education. She started teaching fourth grade in Torrance, CA where she lived for several years. She moved back to Phoenix and returned to ASU to obtain her master's in education.

In 1986, Jane married John "Jack" Coady, the love of her life. They were married for 22 years until his death in 2008. Jane was an elementary school principal at two different schools in the Peoria School District; her last before retiring in 2004 from Desert Harbor.

Jane loved traveling with family and friends and visited many European countries over the years. She was an avid reader and loved to dance.

Jane is predeceased by her parents, husband, brother John "Jack" Mullen, and sister Ann "Rooney" Mullen Barker. She is survived by her sisters Patricia Mullen and Colleen Mullen Everroad, six nieces and nephews, and several grand-nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ, 85027, on March 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private.

The family would like to thank the owners and staff at Scottsdale Palms Assisted Living and Sage Hospice for the tender and loving care they provided our sister. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
