Sorry to here her passing, I worked with Jane for a number of years at DOR.

Jane
Jane was my friend and I happen to be her neighbor.  I learned a lot from Jane. 
She liked plants, being outside, animals and Loved her family.
One day I asked Jane to look at this outside plant.  Jane looked at it and I asked, “What do you think Jane?” she said, well those leaves are not going to resurrect themselves.  Take off the dead leaves and give it some water.  She knew plants and gardening.  She loved to be outside and watch the birds and do her gardening. 
There is a dog that lives with us.  It is really Jane's dog.  This dog Mandie cries whenever she would see Jane.  When Jane left our house after a visit, Mandie wanted to always go home with Jane.  If you opened our door, Mandie would run right towards Jane's house.  When we took Mandie to the vet, the vet said I think she needs to lose weight.  We looked at each other and both said, I am not feeding her too much.    
Jane had her own way of improvising and managing things.  One day she came over for a visit and she said there was someone playing Loud music behind her house, by the apartment complex.  I told her I would take her over the Apt. office and we can ask them politely if there was anything they could do to stop this.  (my approach) .  Jane decided to take a pot & pan and while the loud music was playing, she would bang on the pot, a beat or two off from the music.  The person(s) playing the music would turn down their music and Jane would stop.  This went on for a while until the Loud music stopped and never returned.  
I so enjoyed time with  Jane when we would have tea at her house, when she came over for our fires, or when we would walk around the soccer field with the dogs.  We would discuss tennis, politics, or anything that came to mind.   It was always fun and pleasant to spend time with her.   
She told us lots of stories filled with pride about her family.  She loved you all and was proud of you.

I will miss her.

Jane was an amazing person.  She taught me how to have a cheerful attitude and take a long view on life's problems.  She would say, will it matter five years from now?  I was awful at tennis and she would still ask me to play.  I worked with her at AHCCCS.  I remember how much she enjoyed life.

Jane was a good friend and coworker at DES. She had a great sense of humor, and I enjoyed lunches with her. She will be missed.  Diane
