

Jean Marie Brower (aka Jeannie), 79, passed away peacefully Friday August 25th, 2023, in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born July 11, 1944 in Pennsylvania. Her family owned a roller-skating rink in Pennsylvania. They later moved to Ravena, Ohio, where they owned a Laundromat & Insurance company. Then they moved to Arizona and owned a car wash. She worked at First Cafeteria & Woolco for many years. Jeannie was a private woman who loved Mexican food, Denny’s and collecting antiques. She owed a home in Phoenix for many years and her and her husband would travel to their home in Prescott Valley to cool off during the summer heat.
Jeannie is preceded in death by her husband, John Brower; father, Roy Martin Sollberger; mother, Violet Sollberger; brother, Robert Sollberger; sister Roberta (Sollberger Ford) Gorup; twin brother, Jon Martin Sollberger and nephew Allen Sollberger (son of Robert).
She is survived by her son Roy Martin (Jeannie Marie) Giles, granddaughters Mellany Cay (Hector) Lopez , Ashley Kuri Giles (fiancé Trenton Parra), and Bailey Lynne Giles (fiancé Hunter Matheny). Four great grandchildren Hector Jr. (son of Mellany and Hector), Sage and Meadow (daughters of Ashley and Trenton) and Coraline (daughter of Bailey and Hunter), and extended family Robert’s wife Claudia and daughter Renee Hamlen, Roberta’s daughter Sue Rosenson and son John Michael Ford.
Jeannie's services will be held on Wednesday, September 6 at 11 AM at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 N 27th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85009. Her funeral will follow at noon in the mortuary, with entombment in the Memory Mausoleum.
