Jill Bodine

Jill Ann (Hallberg) Bodine went to be with the Lord October 24, 2011 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was the 10th child out of 11 born to Russell and Winifred Hallberg. Jill grew up in Phoenix where she attended West High School. When her mother died, she moved to St. George, Utah where she lived for 3 years finishing high school and graduating from college. She moved back to Phoenix, married in 1982 and raised two children. She ran a children's' day care out of her home for more than 16 years, homeschooled for 14 of those years, and recently worked for Washington Elementary School District in their preschool department. Jill was active in various ministries at her church including choir, Pioneer Girls, and in children's ministry for more than 20 years. She also enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping with family and friends. Jill was preceded in death by her parents, her niece Melissa Hallberg, her nephew Jon Hallberg II, and her brothers Jack, Jay Steven and Jeffrey. She is survived by her beloved children, daughter Jenifer (Anthony) Brewer, and son Jeremy (Stephanie) Bodine. She is also survived by her siblings: James, Jerome (Yolanda), Jon, Judith (Richard) Moore, Janis (David) Bosley, Joann (John) Barnard, Jean (Farhad) Salehsari, sister-in-law Linda Hallberg, 18 nieces and nephews, and 17 grand nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the wonderful people of Bethany Bible Church and her many friends for all the kindness and generosity they have abundantly shown to Jill and her family. Memorial services will be held at Bethany Bible Church on November 5, 2011 at 2:00 pm.
