Joan May Gippert Campbell, 80 of Glendale, Arizona went to heaven on April 4, 2014. She was born in Adrian, MI, on May 25, 1933, to Clyde and Matilda Gippert. Joan graduated from Adrian High School. She was married to beloved husband, Harold Charles Campbell on February 5, 1954.
Joan was a longtime Adrian resident and retired to Glendale in 1981. Joan Campbell was a wonderful mother, grandmother and aunt. She will be missed by her children: son Harold (Pamela) Campbell of Brooklyn, MI; devoted daughter Deborah Campbell of Glendale, AZ, and son Bruce Campbell of Glendale, AZ, three grandchildren Ryan Campbell of Glendale, AZ; Dr. Mark (Emily) Campbell of Livonia, MI, and Lt. Jonathan Campbell of Killeen, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold C. Campbell; her parents Clyde and Matilda Gippert, and siblings Richard Gippert, Arvin (Kate) Gippert and Ruth (Ed) Kelly. She is survived by her sister-in-laws Charlene Campbell Hamilton and Pat Gippert, children, grandchildren and her many beloved nieces and nephews.
Cremation will take place in Arizona at her request. Contributions may be made to Kimball Camp YMCA, 4444 Long Lake Road, Reading, MI, 49274 or Hospice of the Valley, Glendale, AZ.
