John was born on September 24th, 1945 on Robert and Fannie Brakeall’s kitchen table in Clifton Ohio. He joined the United States Air Force at the age of 16 and spent most of his 4 years of service in Puerto Rico where he enjoyed Barrel racing, rum, wild turkey 101 and local theatre. After being honorably discharged he moved to Jacksonville, Arkansas where he worked as a McDonald’s manager and served as an auxiliary police officer. There he obtained several merits and awards for machining innovations, became a CB radio enthusiast and perfected his skills as a shade-tree mechanic. After leaving Texas Instruments, John and family moved to Phoenix, Arizona after accepting a position as a home maintenance supervisor for GEM Maintenance where he established himself as a jack of all trades being an expert in all aspects of home maintenance, auto mechanics and everything else he would attempt that he could find a book on. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, bowling and socializing with his countless friends at many local restaurants.
