

John passed away peacefully on Sunday May 26, 2024, after a long battle of illness.
He is survived by his wife, Helen, son Tracy, daughter Pam, granddaughter Jordan (Tim) and two great grandchildren Kennedy and Jake.
He was born in Vandergrift, PA on September 21, 1930, to Joseph and Mary Febbraro and was the oldest of three brothers, Bernard and Richard.
John joined the United States Army in 1948 and while serving in Japan was drafted to serve in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in October of 1951 after being shot and receiving a Purple Heart. After his service in the United States Army, he traveled working odd jobs until he moved to Los Angeles, Ca and became a truck driver for Longview Trucking.
In 1959, John met Helen Kaczmarcyk and they were married on April 23, 1960, until his death.
John worked for LaSalle Deitch and was a floor covering salesmen until his retirement in the 1990’s. John enjoyed traveling, camping and was a passionate sports fan which included his two favorites, golf and baseball.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two siblings.
Our hearts are broken, and he will be truly missed but we know he is no longer suffering and is now with our Lord Jesus Christ in heaven.
