

He was raised in Farrell, PA by his parents Arthur and Mary Pagonis. He attended Farrell High for 2 years, but then went to Bordentown Military Academy in New Jersey and graduated. While there he played football. He was a talented musician. John had his own band, played saxophone, composed music and excelled at piano.
He was a graduate of Penn State University majoring in music. He taught music at a Junior High in Ohio for a while. He was in the Army for 2 years in Korea and Japan. He was in the Army band. After finishing his service, he was honorably discharged. He went to Trinidad, British West Indies for 2 years, where he owned a chicken and fruit farm. Then he came to Arizona and attended Arizona State University and received an elementary teaching degree. He taught fifth grade for several years in Laveen, AZ. Also, he had his own refrigeration business.
John is survived by two step-children: son John F. Page and daughter Connie Page, his sister Patti Christie, nephew Paul T. Christie, niece Maria (Craig) Brennan and grandnephew Jason (Nichole) Smith, and several cousins. On Wednesday, January 27, at 1 P.M. John will be interred a the National Memorial Cemetery in Cave Creek, where there will be a memorial service.
