Jon Michael Bailey

Phoenix, Arizona

Born 9/16/1948 in Franklinville, NY. Jon passed away of natural causes on 9/7/2022 at his home in Phoenix, just short of his 74th birthday.

He was the son of the late Eleanor (Martiny) Bailey and Adam Bailey.

A graduate of Ten Broeck Academy in Franklinville, Jon volunteered to join the US Air Force and served in Vietnam from 1968 -1972.

He went on to complete an impressive career in the Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant.

Jon worked for several years at Signore,Inc. in Ellicottville, NY as well as BF Goodrich in Phoenix, AZ.

Even after retiring from company work, Jon truly never retired. He remained busy doing handyman work and assisting others with home improvement.

In his free time Jon enjoyed his pets, metal detecting, running, hiking, classic vehicles and gardening. He also canned his own produce.

Spending time with friends and neighbors was a bonus. Jon loved his family dearly and maintained contact despite the miles apart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as 2 infant sisters, Linda and Rebecca.

His survivors include sisters Christine (Tara) Bailey, BethAnn (Mark) Teepell, and niece Sophia (Nadeem) Houran.

Jon will be interred at a later date in the family plot at St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Allegany, NY. He will receive Military Honors at that time.
