Joseph A. Polson

Joseph A. Polson passed away August 23, 2011 in Chandler, Arizona. Joseph came to Arizona from Roseville, IL in 1966. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a post commander and chaplain for American Legion post 614 in Roseville, IL. He worked in the Sheet Metal Workers Local #359 and has been retired for 29 years. He leaves behind a son, Joseph L. Polson, a daughter, Doris Jean Polson, a granddaughter, Julie A. Penton, and two great-grandchildren Logan and Lacie Penton. He is survived by his brothers George and Wendall Polson and his sister Bernice Gorman. He was a faithful member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Tempe AZ for 43 years. Visitation will be held Monday, August 29th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Carr Tenney Mortuary, 2621 S. Rural Rd., Tempe, AZ. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, August 30th at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 2121 S. Rural Rd., Tempe, AZ. Graveside services will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
