Josie (Cruz) Soto went with her eternal family on January 15, 2018. Josie was born in Kelsey, Colorado to Victor and Victoria Cruz. She came to Arizona in 1942 with her father and brothers. Arizona has been her home since then.
In 1947 she married Mark Soto. She was a stay at mom till 1983 when she joined Creighton School District in the Food Service Department. In 1984 she became the District Baker, which she took great pride in. Due to health issues she had to retire in 1999.
Josie is survived by her brother, Henry (Rose) Cruz, 3 daughters, Brenda (Jerry) Aikins, Cynthia James and Linda Munoz, 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren with a new great grandson due in May and numerous nephews and nieces. Josie was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
We would like to thank Hospice of the Valley, Glencroft Providence Place and 4th floor nurses and aides for the wonderful care they gave our mother.
Church Mass will take place at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1954 N. 24th St, Phoenix, AZ 85008 on Saturday, January 27th at 11am followed with burial at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
