BAXTER, June Demara Baxter of Phoenix, died on April 20, 2019. She is survived by two children, Stephen Baxter and his wife Marjorie of Phoenix; John Baxter and his wife Brenda of Peoria, Arizona, five grandchildren, Heather Jump, Rachael Peterson, Carrie Baxter, Samuel Baxter and Nicole Wolfe. She also had seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 10:00 AM by Pastor Mason Hughes at Advantage Funeral & Cremation, 6901 W Indian School Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85033. Born in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to William and Mary McClelland Burris, on May 8, 1936, June grew up in Sault Ste. Marie. She moved to Phoenix in 1960 with her late husband Douglas Baxter in 1960. She has been a member of West Phoenix Baptist Church from 1960 to 2019. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and a servant of Jesus Christ.
