Our beloved, Karen Lynne Dunham, gained her angel wings on February 16th, 2026 in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 77 in the comfort of her home. Karen was an adoring wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all.
Karen was born on October 22nd, 1948 in Maryville, Tennessee to parents Edwin Allen Klassen and Belva Lee Miller. Karen loved tapping into her creative side with sewing, photography, and most of all, baking. For more than 25 years, Karen built a career at Motorola, from which she retired in 1999. After retirement, she enjoyed many years at her grandchildren’s school, even becoming a crossing guard, a job she loved. Karen cherished her quality time with her family and friends. She brought everyone around her such joy and light with her contagious laughter and humor. Karen’s warmth, resilience, compassion and love for all will never be forgotten.
Karen is survived by her daughter, Kim (Gary) Hadley, son Joseph (Kellie) Dunham, Jr. and grandchildren, Cheyenne (Tomas) Martinez, Jake Hadley, Grace Hadley and Parker Dunham. She was preceded in death by her soulmate and husband of 42 years, Joseph Dunham, Sr., her parents and her brother, Ed Klassen Jr.
A celebration of life service will be held for Karen on March 6th, 2026 at 12pm, with visitation one hour prior at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary & Cemetery, Serenity Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Hospice of the Valley at Ryan House. https://ryanhouse.org/ways-to-help
