

Karen came to Phoenix in 1994 from Ohio and resided with her significant other, Clayton Otterstetter, since 2005. She helped raise Clayton's granddaughters Angellee, Alma, and Alvina Otterstetter.
Karen was a graduate of the Arizona Automotive Institute as well as a graduate from the Cursillo Retreat. She was certified and worked as a caregiver and associate at several children's daycare centers.
Her interests in life included family, animals (cats and dogs), cooking, collecting porcelain masks and matchbox cars, traveling, and sightseeing. Karen was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan and preferred a simple life with no extravagancies. She liked meeting people and making friends and cherished her lifelong friendships. She was down to earth, outgoing, and caring, often placed others before herself, and didn't worry about things she had no control over.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers. She is survived by her significant other, Clayton Otterstetter, her sister, and many other beloved family members and friends.
