Kathryn Temm Kevane

Our beautiful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother has joined her husband Clement in Heaven. She was born May 10, 1925 in St. Louis, Mo. to Robert and Pearl Temm. She attended Fontbonne College, obtaining her bachelor's degree in Home Economics. She worked with Pet Milk Company and Union Electric doing food demonstrations and teaching cooking long before Food Network made it popular. She married Clement Kevane in 1953 and together they pioneered a life in Arizona raising their nine living children. Kathryn was the Home. She created meals, made clothing, and managed all things children for nine of us. More importantly, she provided family solidarity, a foundation of faith and demonstrated kindness in every thought and action. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish for 59 years and a community volunteer. Her generosity and graciousness were shared with friends and strangers alike. She gave her husband the perfect Valentine, joining him in Heaven on Feb. 14, 2014. She is survived by her brother, Robert, her children Margaret (Stephen), Agnes (Dave), Lucy, Cecilia (John), Clare (Frank), Joseph (Erica), Matthew (Angie), Teresa and Christopher. Also, 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Carr-Tenney Mortuary, Tempe, 5 pm -7 pm, with a Rosary at 6:15 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Tempe, followed by burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Mesa, Arizona.
