

Kim was born in New Milford, CT and attended grade school in Washington, CT before moving to Maine. She graduated from Presque Isle High School and then went on to attend Wheaton College in Massachusetts where she graduated with honors. After college Kim did a tour with the Peace Corp in Jamaica. Kim worked with troubled youths in Massachusetts before moving to Arizona where she became an adult probation officer with the Maricopa County Adult Probation Department. She then went on to join the Phoenix Police Department as a crime scene Specialist and evidence processor. In December 2011, she completed a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Arizona State University. Kim enjoyed spending time with her friends, gardening and sharing her life with her husband and two very special basset hounds, Buddy and Lola. She is survived by her husband John of Glendale, her mother Joann Parmalee of Chino Valley, AZ and her maternal grandmother Doris Waldron of Marble Dale, CT. She was very close to her extended family especially her younger cousins. Kim was predeceased by her brother Michael. A mass to celebrate her life will be held on Jan 10 at 2PM at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Paradise Valley.
