On June 25, 2021, Kristine Clare Otten was called home to rest. Kristine was born in Brooklyn, New York on March 23, 1968. She is preceded in death by her mother Joyce Amelia Folger (Paone). Kristine is survived by her sister Cynthia Otten, brother Michael Bruni and his wife Mindy, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was determined, strong-willed and set in her ways. Kristine was a force to be reckoned with when it came to getting what she wanted. Being the oldest of 3 children, Kristine took pride in being the "big sister" to Cynthia and Michael.
Kristine was a social butterfly. Chatty and friendly, she made it her duty to keep everyone in the loop on current events and the things taking place within the family. Kristine was proud of her family and bragging about them was the highlight of her day.
She had a fondness for many things in life. However, the love she had for her family, books, her brother's dogs and beloved cats - Marshall and Katie, are what come to mind when we say her name. Kristine was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Joyce Amelia Folger (Paone)
9/12/1945 - 03/19/2019
On March 19th, 2019 the world said goodbye to an amazing Mother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. Joyce Amelia Folger (Paone) had laid her final rest and was called home to heaven.
Joyce was born in Brooklyn New York on September 12th, 1945. Joyce's splendid mind was just one of her many great qualities. When a situation called for good judgment, smart advice, or clever decisions, Joyce was the person to turn to. She was honest and had no problem voicing her opinion. She could always be expected to resolve disputes honestly, firmly, and without prejudice. She did this clearly, without hesitation, and most of the time she was right.
Joyce was the best Mother to her children. Despite many challenges and obstacles through her life, she would always put her children first. In fact, all the neighborhood kids called her Aunt Joyce, and would be treated as part of the family.
Joyce never struggled to make friends. She touched the lives of many. She was a devoted, loyal, nurturing mother and friend. She was loved and respected by all who had the privilege to know her personally and from afar. Curious and outgoing she was personable, sometimes stubborn, but always intelligent, witty, and fun to be around. Her smile was amazing and her laugh will forever be heard in our memories.
She was dearly missed by her two daughters Kristine and Cynthia Otten, her son Michael Bruni, daughter-in-law Mindy Bruni, brother Doug Folger, sister Arlene Forrester, nieces, nephews, and countless other family members and friends.
