Larry Taren, 78, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on March 15, 2026. He was born on April 24, 1947, in Kingston, Pennsylvania. Larry will be remembered as an adventurous man whose life reflected dedication, steady purpose, and a deep appreciation for the world around him.
Larry received his high school diploma while serving in the US Army. He later attended Apollo College, where he earned his respiratory technician certification.
In addition to his career in the US Army, he went on to serve others through his work in construction, and as a respiratory therapist.
Larry was married to Denise Donato, and together they had one son. Larry is survived by his son, Joby Taren, and Joby’s wife, Clarissa; and by his sisters, Marcia Taren and Brenda Barsky. Denise preceded Larry in death.
Larry found lasting enjoyment in hunting, fishing, and spending time in the outdoors—interests that reflected his adventurous spirit and his love of nature.
Larry and Denise will be reunited and laid to rest at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona on Thursday, April 9th at 1:00 PM.
