GONE TOO SOON.  We said it about Traci. And then Joan. Now Laura.  Great women. Strong women. Good friends. Laura was a
kind, pure soul. Her enjoyment of life was infectious. One could not help to feel better after spending time with Laura.  Or Joan.  Coming aboard the USS Schauwecker simply by the virtue of being Uncle Bill's friend, I discovered a wonderful, loving, diverse group of people whose company I have enjoyed over 30 plus years.  To the family that reminds, or is yet to come, know that my heart aches with yours.  If I knew how to shield you all from this pain, I would do. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.


Dearest Laura,
Your infectious laugh and bubbly personality will be missed by so many. So many memories from 5th grade, through high school, through cosmetology school and our adult years. So many memories I will never forget. I loved surprising you with coffee at the salon before  you sold it. A couple of my favorite memories is when one of our favorite songs would come on at Beauty School and we would dance even though we had a client. Three hour long phone conversations. The  time when I spent the night at your house and we got caught  watching a movie we weren't supposed to. We all had to pack up our stuff and your mom took all of us home. So many memories of you that still brings a smile to my face and tears to my eyes.
So proud of you for putting up such a brave fight even though you suffered so much. I'll miss you tons but so glad you are no longer in pain. Rest easy friend. I will remember you and love you always!

Laura was a fun and upbeat person who was always there to lend a helping hand. We took microbiology during the summer and she was the person I studied with for many hours at Denny’s. Our favorite thing was to eat breakfast and then crack open the books. My prayers go out to her and her family. I know she will be missed. 

I was a previous client of Laura's... I remember her as so very sweet and kind.  Very sad to hear of her death... My deepest condolences to the family.  You will be in my prayers.

 Words cannot describe how much you’re going to be missed Laura Wright!   You were way too young to suffer the way you did!  We had a lot of memories and laughs together I will never forget!  You will definitely be missed! You are in a much better place and not suffering anymore! May you rest in peace! Love you  ❤️❤️

I can’t believe you’re gone. It all happened so fast. You always where one heck of a fighter and fight you did till the end. I miss you so much and I’m glad you are in a better place where you don’t have to fight so hard anymore.  You where my best friend. So many things I experienced in life because of you. I love you and miss you everyday Aunt Laura.❤️❤️

My sister Laura strived to achieve a full life from early on.  Not a person to let little things set her back, she made the best of every situation good or bad.  An extroverted personality that allowed her to make friends with so many, she was the light of most events.  I know this last year was difficult but she displayed true courage to overcome her diagnosis and valiantly battled when some would have given up.  She made us all laugh at family gatherings through the years and was the first to lend support when we may have been down.  I know she will be missed by so many close friends but I also know she is together now with my sister Tracey and our Mother Joan.

Our childhood memories from Desert Shadows Middle School will
Live long in my heart. 
We had lots of secrets and so much fun growing up in our teen years together. 
Although we talked in the past few years, we never seemed to get to see each other. I regret that, but I know that I will see you in heaven when it is my time:)
