Lavorn Witherspoon

She met married the late Melvin Jackson in Jonesburg, Louisiana in 1951 and from this union was born Melvin Jackson, Marvin Jackson; Cassandra Nebblett; and Legoria Annette Jackson, all of Phoenix, Arizona.

She and Melvin divorced and she later met and married Alvin Rayford. To that union a daughter was born: Joy Rayford of Phoenix, Arizona. She was preceded in death by Alvin Rayford; she met and married Robert Witherspoon. No children were born to this union.

Lavern Witherspoon departed this life on March 26, 2014 and was preceded in death by Robert Witherspoon.

She leaves to morn her passing: two daughter in laws Lorna Jackson; Linda Jackson; one son in law Stanley Nebblett; sisters Katherine Russell of Phoenix, Arizona, Cora Lee Streets of Louisiana; brothers Jerry Russell, Carl Russell, Jewel Russell of Phoenix, Arizona and Frank Russell, preceded in death; 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and a host of relatives, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whose lives she touched throughout her life.
