
On the wonderful day of February 20, 1933 Mrs. Lorene Lyons gave Birth to her first born child Miss Lois Beatrice McNeail. She was born in Checotah, Ok in McIntosh County, Ok. Later the family moved to Muskogee, Ok. where she attended the Seventh Day Adventist School and then to Manuel Training High School, in Muskogee, ok. As she was the oldest of seven children, she often assisted and provided child care for her parents while they pursued their vocation to provide for the family unit. Lois was very meticulous and detailed in every aspect of her life. Later in her life she attended (MTI) where she received an AA Certificate in Ministries. Lois had a heart for people so she became a Nursing Assistant and later worked in Home Health Care. She opened up her heart to united with Carl Scott and had three 3) lovely children. Carolyn Scott-Williams, Denise Scott Jackson, and John Scott-Sanders. Lois was reared in a religious environment and during her adolescent years she attended the church of God in Christ which was later named Thompson Memorial , Church of God in Christ under the pastorate of the later Elder M.M. Thompson of Muskogee, ok. Lois migrated from the state of Oklahoma to Topeka, KS then to Phoenix, AZ. While in Phoenix, AZ she united in Holy matrimony with Johnnie Mitchell. She was gainfully employed in may area: Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center. She dedicated her life to Christ and united with House of Prayer for all National, Church of God in Christ under the pastorate of the late Bishop George Y. Johnson. After leaving House of Prayer she was dedicated to Faith Tabernacle Church of God in Christ for many of years under the leadership of Sup. Arthur Strong Sr. The Last and final membership was New Light Christian Fellowship senior Pastor John Sanders her son.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents and (3) brothers Ernest, Leroy and Anthony and (2) sister Wanda and Mary. Left to cherish her blossoming memories: Her (3) three children: Mr. and Mrs. Bruce and Carolyn J. Scott-Williams of Moreno Valley, CA and Mrs. Denise Scott– Jackson of Phoenix, AZ and one son: Pastor and Margaret Sanders of Phoenix , AZ , seven grandchildren; Tina, Tanya Andre, Johnnie and Mei-Ling of Phoenix, AZ and Ernie and Bryan of CA, seven great– grandchildren , four great great grandchildren , one brother, Dwaine of phoenix, AZ and a host of other friends , relatives and church family.
