Marcella Charles

Marcella was survived by her 5 children, Joey, Gina, Edie, Eddie and Melissa Valenzuela. Marcella has 18 grandkids and 9 great-grandkids. Her dog beloved dog Lola sadly passed in the accident.

Marcella was born in La Mesa, Texas on May 8, 1950, to Jose T. Charles and Marcella V. Ramirez

Marcella went to school at Carl Hayden High School where she still remained close to her childhood friends. She had a passion for gardening and creating interesting visual projects. She was an artist and found peace in her garden here and her home in Gilroy. She enjoyed casinos, concerts, music, camping, traveling, going to wineries in California and spending time with her friends and family in Arizona and in Gilroy. Marcella was a social butterfly, she was personable, outgoing, she shared her love by cooking for her loved ones. She was a great cook. Her lived motto: “you only live once, live life to the fullest”.

A visitation will be held on February 12, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, located at 719 North 27th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85009 at the Serenity Chapel in the rear of the property. Her funeral service will follow at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at 12pm.
