Marcus Allen Hobbie

On the evening of Wednesday August 3rd, 2016, Marcus “Riot” Allen Hobbie was suddenly and unexpectedly, by his friends and family, called home to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as a result of a traffic accident in Phoenix, Arizona.

Marcus Hobbie was born into this world on August 13th, 1993 at 12:40 a.m. at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Marcus was the last born and second son for his mother and the only son for his father.

Marcus attended various public and private schools in both Phoenix, Arizona and Joseph City, Arizona. He graduated from middle school from Joseph City, Junior High School on May 22nd, 2008. While at Joseph City Junior High School Marcus played for the school’s basketball team.

After graduation from middle school, Marcus then attend high school at both Central High School in Phoenix Arizona and Coronado High School in Scottsdale, Arizona

Marcus spent most of his adult life in Phoenix where he had worked in the food service industry and avidly pursued some of his favorite pass-times such as skateboarding, boxing and weightlifting.

Marcus, who after working in the food service industry, discovered the art and joy of cooking. This became a new passion for him that he zealously engaged in at every opportunity that availed him. Marcus excelled in his new beloved pastime so much so that his friends and family would often comment on how delicious the culinary delights were that Marcus served up for them.

Marcus, in addition to the aforementioned pursuits, loved to draw pictures and letterings. Marcus had hoped to follow this particular passion into a career as a graphic designer.

Marcus was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Billie Julian, his grandmother, Betty Robertson, his brother, Robert Yeahquo, his cousin, Joseph Hinton, his cousin Jerry Johnson and his cousin Antonio “Logan” Ray

Marcus is survived by his mother, Rhonda Hobbie, his father, Adam Hobbie and his very special nephew, Timothy Joey.

A viewing for Marcus will be held at Advantage Maryvale Mortuary in the Angel Chapel on Sunday August 14th, 2016 between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Services for Marcus will be held at Advantage Maryvale Mortuary in the Angel Chapel on Monday August 15th, 2016 at 10:00 am.

Advantage Maryvale Mortuary is located at 6901 West Indian School Road in Phoenix, Arizona.

Burial services for Marcus will be held at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery on Monday August 15th, 2016 at approximately 11:30 a.m.

Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery is located at 2300 West Van Buren Street in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Family of Marcus Hobbie would like to thank the numerous friends, family members and coworkers who have supported them during these trying times.
