.Margaret A. (Peggy) Crean, 76, passed away on New Year’s Eve 2016. Peggy was born in Langdon, ND, on January 26, 1940, as the 8th of 10 children. In 1953, Peggy moved to Phoenix with her family and attended Xavier College Preparatory. Peggy and husband Paul Dalpes had two daughters before Paul's untimely passing. Peggy later met and married Bill Crean, with whom she shared 37 years of marriage. The birth of their son made Peggy's joy complete.
Everyone has a favorite memory of Peggy, whether it was a backyard barbecue, a Friday night Mexican dinner, or some other festivity. Peggy enjoyed socializing with friends and family, and leaves behind a great reputation for lighting up a room with her smile. Since 2011, Peggy lived at the Beatitudes Campus in Phoenix, enjoying great care and camaraderie as part of the warm and supportive community there. She was always dressed 'just right' down to her jewelry and accessories and was beloved by staff and residents alike.
Peg has gone home to be with her parents Vic and Alice Mulligan; brothers Dickie, Jim, and Pat Mulligan; sister Mary (Larry) McElroy; Paul J. Dalpes; and William H. (Bill) Crean. Peg is survived by children Deborah (Mark) Everett of Hamilton, MA; Kathleen (Kevin) Harmon of Porter Ranch, CA, and Bill (Stephanie) Crean of Wayne, PA; treasured grandchildren Emily, Matthew, and Ethan Everett; Sean and Ashley Harmon and Will and Allison Crean; sisters Helen (Harry) Stark and Kathleen (Sam) Burns; brothers Tom (Teresa) Mulligan, Mike Mulligan, and John (Dawn) Mulligan; more than 50 nieces and nephews; and countless friends and Mulligan/ Dalpes/ Crean family across Phoenix and beyond. A memorial service will be held later in the Spring. Reach out to [email protected] for updates.
In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome gifts to the Beatitudes Resident Assistance Fund, in honor of the generous and loving spirit which surrounded Peggy there.
