

Margit Kapuvary was 91 years old when she passed away on July 13, 2013 at Lund Hospice Center in Gilbert, Arizona. Margit Kapuvary was born in Magyar Pecska, Hungary on August 18, 1921 and was the daughter of Maria Tursky and Jozef Holzeisen. She married Charles Kapuvary on September 6, 1943 in the well-known Gellert Hotel in Budapest, Hungary. While in Hungary, she was a Legal Secretary. In 1956 her husband and two daughters (Anna Nord and Kathy Spangler) escaped from Hungary to Austria. They lived in Austria until 1959 then moved to South Bend, Indiana. The family then went over to Michigan until 1970, then moving to Arizona. While living in the United States, Margit became a seamstress for Big and Tall and worked until she was 84 years old. Margit leaves behind her two daughters, Kathy Spangler and Anna Nord; five grandchildren Christopher Nagy, Juliet Wheeler, Dawn Auzas, Michelle McGee and Andre Spangler. She also had nine great-grandchildren; Taylor Nagy, Hunter Nagy, Matthew Wheeler, Jacob Wheeler, Alyssa Wheeler, Chantal Auzas, Christian Auzas, Lilly McGee and Mazie McGee. Margit was a caring and loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time and taking care of her family. While her husband Charles Kapuvary was still alive, they enjoyed going to the Hungarian Church to spend time with friends. Memorial services will be held at Carr-Tenney Mortuary 2621 S. Rural Road, Tempe, AZ 85282 on July 24, 2013 at 6:00pm. A reception in her honor will immediately follow at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lund Hospice Center in Gilbert in Memory of Margit Kapuvary.
