Mary T Archunde

Mary T. Archunde peacefully entered eternal rest on Monday, November 4, 2024 at her home in Phoenix, Arizona. She was a beloved mom, grandma, great grandma (dabba do) and auntie. Mary was born October 15, 1934 in San Rafael, New Mexico. In 1955 she married John Archunde Sr. and they raised 9 children.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John Archunde Sr.; parents Leandro and Concepcion (Padilla) Torres; brothers Ramon, Leonardo, Alejandro, Rosalio, and Elmer Torres; sisters Juanita Suniga and Celine Jaramillo.

She is survived by her sister Ernestine (Enrique) Castillo.

She is survived by her children: John (Ruth) Archunde Jr., Barbara Krause, Diana Archunde, Bernadette Archunde-Johnson, Marie Archunde, Perry Archunde, Nancy (Michael) Tafoya, Greg Archunde, Alicia Canez; her grandchildren: Dwayne (Maria) Jaramillo, Jessica (Edwin Garcia) Archunde, David Baca Jr., Bobby (Valentina Marquez) Baca, Matthew (Janelle) Baca, Concepcion (Jamie) Barnell, Michael Tafoya, Nevaeh Canez; great grandchildren: Daniel Jaramillo, Ariana Jaramillo, Sebastian Garcia, Ava Garcia, Anthony Barnell, Jonathan Barnell, Cresencio Chavez, Mauricio Baca.

We love you and you will be greatly missed mom, grandma, great grandma (dabba do) and auntie. Lots of love and kisses from all of us!

A visitation for Mary will be held Monday, November 18, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Greer-Wilson Chapel, 5921 West Thomas Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85033. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, November 19, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, 3140 N 51st Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85031. A reception is to follow the funeral mass at Funeraria del Angel Greer-Wilson Chapel.
