Phoenix - Mary Ellen Maniatis, 90, fell asleep in the Lord, September 19, 2018.
Born December 2. 1927, in Chicago Illinois, to William and Frieda (Neetz) Murtaugh. She worked for the Telephone Company in Chicago and worked evenings as a waitress at David's Restaurant on the south side of Chicago where she met John D. Maniatis (d. March 15, 2009).
John co-owned the restaurant with his brother Peter D. Maniatis(d. August 12, 2005). Mary Ellen is survived by her nieces Phyllis Mack and Frances Attochi, Debra (Maniatis) Rogers and her husband, Robert Rogers, Bette D. Maniatis, (sister-in-law) and Maria D Maniatis (sister-inlaw) and Maria's family, Keri and Dino Panagas, Kristina and Lt. Col. Anthony Marinos, Katherine and Jerald New, and numerous, Grand and great grand nieces and nephews. Services, Saturday, September 29th, 2018 Holy Trinity At 9:00 am with interment to follow at Paradise Memorial Gardens.
