Mary "Suzie" Susanna Villafan

Suzie was born in Stockton, California to Bill and Gaye Mendoza Namoc (both deceased). Suzie was raised by Aurelia Mendoza her grandmother in Phoenix and they ventured around Phoenix on the city bus system creating lasting memories. Suzie loved her grandmother Aurelia like a mother and will be elated to be laid to rest near her.

Mary graduated from Carl Hayden high School in 1976. After graduating she married Genaro "Geno" Villafan. Together they had five children who survive. Sophia Dolores, Genaro Jesus, Anastacia Maria, Mario Xavier and Francisco Daniel and their spouses Crystal Cobos, Terry Sitowski and Elaine Kimble.

Suzie loved her 12 grandchildren, Nicholas Lorenzo, Jazmine Renee, Joseph Jesus "Jojo", Julia Angelina, Julian Geno, Julicia Susanna. Terrence Joseph "TJ" Precious Ruby , Lilana Stacie, Mark Anthony, Mario Russell, Isaac Leo, and one great-grandchild Carlinia Melanie. Suzie made an effort to connect individually with each of them. We all have a little piece of Nana flowing through us.

Mary worked at the Sky Harbor airport for almost 40 years. She loved working there and she loved her work family. She was there early, stayed late, and often volunteered for special events around town. She loved helping people and helping them navigate Phoenix and the airport.

Suzie loved God and prayed daily. She didn't get to a church often but she said she didn't need go to talk to God. "He's always here in my heart and soul."
