

Mary Martin Ziegman, 87, of Tempe, Arizona, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012. Mrs. Ziegman was born in Tiffin, Ohio. During her life she was a secretary, homemaker, taught piano at the Sisters of the Good Shepherd School, member of her church choir and Life Issues Committee, Board Member and a past President of AZ Right to Life, a founding member of the Aid to Women Center, volunteered for St. Vincent de Paul, Seeds to the World, and Friends of the Orphans. She joyfully poured her life out in service to others. She is preceded in death by her husbands, John N. Martin and Richard P. Ziegman, sisters, Helen Plunkett and Virginia Abowd, brothers, James Whitta and Robert Whitta , and her parents, Herbert and Helen Whitta. She is survived by sons Stephen Martin, John Martin (Deborah), Richard Martin (Patricia), Robert Martin (Shannon), Steven Ziegman (Jill), Edward Ziegman (Linda), and Richard G. Ziegman; daughters Ann Peltier (Gary), Nancy Koontz (Gregory), Rebecca Todd (Robert), Jeannie Basheda (Michael), Dianne Meier, and Monica Wallin (James); thirty-six grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. The Visitation will be held Thursday 5-8 p.m. with Rosary 7 p.m. at Carr-Tenney Mortuary 2621 S. Rural Rd, Tempe. The Funeral Mass will be held Friday 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church 2121 S. Rural Road, Tempe. Memorial Contributions may be made to Friends of the Orphans, P.O.
