

Maxine (Merriman) Stover was born on January 1, 1926, in Perry, Oklahoma to Hugh and Velma Merriman. The family relocated to Centralia, Washington when Maxine was 12 years old. She graduated from High School there in 1944 and attended Prairie Bible Institute in Three Hills, Alberta, Canada for one year. She then moved to Seattle, Washington to attend Simpson Bible College for two years.
Maxine married Edgar Stover on January 29, 1948, and they were married 57 years. The majority of Maxine’s working years were spent at Maynard Hospital, West Seattle Herald, and Horizon House Retirement Community. Maxine was a member of Ballard Baptist Church where she was blessed with many friends. She enjoyed helping in any way that she could at the church. She was blessed with good neighbors and lived in her community for over 60 years.
In 2013, Maxine moved to Phoenix, Arizona to be close to her daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia & Douglas Alwin. She was able to visit with (4) grandchildren, (4) great grandchildren and (3) great-great grandchildren. She lived in a wonderful Senior Living Community for eight years and then she moved to a fully assisted group home where she received excellent care until her passing at 97 years old.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son: Randall Stover, grandson: Donovan Stover, sister: Margie Blankenship and brother: Kenneth Merriman. She will be greatly missed.
