

Michael Dwight Cassidy, 79, was called to heaven on January 29th, 2017, while in his home of 37 years. He leaves his two daughters, Elise Cassidy and her fiancé, Na’il Diggs and Vanessa (Cassidy) Rider and spouse Isaiah; his grandchildren, Elijah King, Kya King, and Isaiah Rider, IV; and his former son in law Mike Rashid King; his cousin Barbara Bell; his life long friend Bob Parent; his beloved dog, White Girl; and many good friends, family, and neighbors.
Born in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of the late Charles and Catherine (Randolph) Cassidy, they moved to Phoenix, AZ in the summer of 1951. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School at age 16 in 1953, a bright young man. He was a very good student, with a passion for playing baseball. He graduated from Regis College in Denver with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering. He worked for Motorola SPD in Phoenix, Toulouse France, Seoul South Korea, and Nogales Mexico. He then worked for Silicon General in Taipei, Taiwan. Mr. Cassidy was also a successful business man as owner of Star Appliance and C & T Acquisitions before he retired.
Mr. Cassidy was thoroughly enjoying his retired life with his constant canine companion, White Girl. His passions included following his beloved football team, the New York Giants, keeping up with current events and the financial market, reading , listening to music, and talking to or emailing his daughters and grandchildren everyday. His ardent wish was to live long enough to watch his grandson play in the NBA. He will be missed dearly by all his loved ones.

Mr. Cassidy's memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85022 with a burial service to follow at 1:30pm at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 9925 W. Thomas Rd, Avondale, AZ 85392.
