Mona Imogene Rich

Mona Imogene Rich died peacefully on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Scottsdale Village Square. Mona was born in Lincoln, Arkansas on Feb. 20, 1923 and moved to Tempe, Arizona in 1937. After graduating from Tempe Union High School she had a forty year career at Western Union in downtown Phoenix, retiring in 1983. Mona loved her animals, Suns basketball, hats and high heeled shoes. She maintained her quick wit and fun sense of humor throughout her life & was loved by all who knew her. Mona was preceded in death by her parents, James Edward and Cora Lee (Elms) and her brothers James Cody and Calvin Wayne Tudy. There will be a Visitation at Carr-Tenney Mortuary 2621 S. Rural Rd Tempe, Wednesday July 18th 5-8 pm with the Funeral Service Thursday July 19th 11:00 am at the Mortuary. Donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St. Phoenix, AZ 85014.
