Nancy Jo Hughes

Nancy Jo Hughes, 62 of Phoenix passed away April 14, 2017. She was born May 27, 1954 in Ravenna, Ohio. Nancy was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. As an LPN, Nancy worked at many of the local hospitals, spending most of her career at the Kivel Nursing Home.

During the past two years, Nancy suffered many ailments and was in and out of hospitals from the east to west valley. She particularly enjoyed the nurses who cared for her on Floor 4C at Banner Del Webb Hospital.

Nancy is survived by her father, Clyde Hughes; daughter, Tanya (Justin) Donovan; grandchildren Zachary and Alexis Clausen and Marley and Sidney Donovan; brothers Michael, William and Mark (Mariana) Hughes; sisters Cathy (Brian) Baldwin and Lisa (Ramiro) Rodriguez along with many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephew. She was preceded in death by her son Jeremy Hughes; mother Carrie Hughes and sister Ellen Thompson.

She enjoyed ministering and feeding the homeless; traveling to cooler places; crocheting hundreds of dishrags, and was an avid fan of playing bejeweled; however, Nancy enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family.

A Memorial Service in Nancy's honor will be held at Phoenix Memorial Cemetery (200 W. Beardsley Road, Phoenix) on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 11:00am.
