Springer-Kyllingstad, Nicodemus "Nic" 16, of New River, AZ passed away on December 3, 2015. Nic was a member and gold medal winner of Boulder Creek HS's Academic Decathalon Team, president of the Pathfinder club and a member of the GSA club. Nic enjoyed spending his time practicing archery and fencing, playing PC games, journaling, reading and learning about science (especially physics). If asked to name Nic's 2 favorite things, it is easy; fountain pens and Frank's Red Hot Sauce. Anyone who knew Nic knew how much he loved spending time with his family and how loved he was by all those who knew him. He loved his pets and no dog could ever go without asking him for a belly rub. Nic enjoyed travel and hoped to live in Sweden one day. The world is a sadder place without him in it and he will be missed terribly by so many. Happy the man, whose wish and care
A few paternal acres bound,
Content to breathe his native air,
In his own ground.
Whose herds with milk, whose fields with bread,
Whose flocks supply him with attire,
Whose trees in summer yield him shade,
In winter fire.
Blest, who can unconcernedly find
Hours, days, and years slide soft away,
In health of body, peace of mind,
Quiet by day,
Sound sleep by night; study and ease,
Together mixed; sweet recreation;
And innocence, which most does please,
With meditation.
Thus let me live, unseen, unknown;
Thus unlamented let me die;
Steal from the world, and not a stone
Tell where I lie.
