Ninita Lorraine Jones

Ninita Lorraine Jones, 93 years of age, passed away on August 16, 2023, at her home. Ninita was born September 23, 1929, in Los Angeles, CA to Ralph and Nina White. She was an only child and was educated in Los Angeles in the field of Nursing. Ninita spent 50 years caring for mothers and babies in the OB. She loved the Lord and was a Christian.

Ninita was married to the late Miles Gethyn Jones in 1955 and had four boys: Mark, Bryan, Barry, and David. She has 6 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. Ninita loved them all and wished she had more time to enjoy them. She spent her last years in a retirement center living independently. She loved to play the piano, dress elegantly and socialize with her friends. She had a craving for Subway, Cracker barrel restaurant, and donuts. When music was played in the dining rooms she would love to get up and dance.

Ninita had several hobbies, she loved to crochet and produced many fine blankets. She loved rocks and jewelry and spent several years making turquoise jewelry. If she could, she would have loved to gone rock hunting. Ninita loved cats and at one point she had 7 in the house. When Ninita was a kid, she loved horseback riding in Griffen Park and camping in Big Bear with her family. Ninita loved the Ocean and loved growing up in Southern California. She missed it very much and every year vacationed in San Diego. She loved music and you could catch her in her apartment singing and dancing on many occasions.

Ninita cared for her family in a very selfless way. She considered others first. She had a glowing attitude and tried to bring joy to those she was around. She will be missed but know that she is now in the presence of the Lord.
