

Patricia "Patsy" Evans Mariscal passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012. The smile on her face belied the ravages of Multiple Sclerosis, the same insidious disease that took her father. Patsy loved her friends and family with all her heart, and was always so very grateful for her life and everyone in it. She was born May 21, 1935 in Bisbee, Arizona to Margurete O'Malley Evans and William A. Evans. At three months of age, the family moved to Phoenix where she attended St. Francis and North Phoenix High School. She graduated with a B.S. from Stanford University. She was an active member of the Jr. League of Phoenix and the Board of Visitors. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, William A. Evans, Jr. and her nephew, William A. Evans III. She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Hanson and her husband Don of Phoenix; sons, George Edward "Ted" Mariscal and his wife Maureen of Chandler, and Brian Mariscal and his wife Karen of Wellesley, MA; The children's father, George Mariscal; grandchildren, Sean, Maggie, and Lizzie Hanson; Billy, Ricky and Michael Mariscal; Molly and Joe Meyer; her brother, Michael O. Evans and his wife Mary Lou of Cornville, AZ. The family wishes to acknowledge the loving treatment accorded Patsy by her caregivers: Patti, Georgia and Linda. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 2:00pm at Brophy Chapel 4701 N. Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ.
