

Paul E. Farr, 68 of Cave Creek Arizona. Born on March 13th, 1947 in Joliet Illinois and passed away on September 25th, 2015. Paul graduated from Joliet Township High School, West Campus in 1966. In high school, Paul was on the swim team. He also taught handicapped children to swim at the local YMCA. He received many medals for competition in music, solo and group band at the grade school and high school level. He was a wonderful saxophone and clarinet player. He had his own rock ‘n roll band in high school, in Joliet. He had a real passion for music. On March 30th, 1968, Paul married his high school sweetheart Darlene Brugnara. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1967 to 1971, during the Viet Nam war. After basic training in Texas, he attended Shephard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas for schooling. Then he went to Williams Air Force Base in Chandler, Arizona for two years. He received orders for Germany, where he flew with his aircraft to Cambodia several times. After that tour, he returned to the states to Fort Dix where he was honorably discharged. Paul went to school at Deer Valley Aviation for his Airframe and Power plant (A&P) license. He worked for: Lockheed Aircraft in Palmdale, California, building the hydraulic system for the L-1011 for two years. He returned to Arizona to be hired by Hughes Air West Airlines, in Phoenix for ten years. He helped start an airline in Las Vegas Nevada called Sun Would. He then returned to Phoenix to become hanger manager for Dyne Air for three years. In 1985 he joined Southwest Airlines in Phoenix where he finished his career in 2010, serving twenty five years. He loved black powder competition and received many medals. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Ruth Farr. He is survived by his wife Darlene. Also surviving him are his daughters Diane (Corey, Lincoln) Farr, Stephanie (Palmer, Michael) Farr, Grandson Caleb Palmer, whom he adored. Mother-in-law Kay Brugnara of Phoenix, brother Robert Farr of Phoenix, sisters Joyce (Cruise, Rich) Farr, La Vista, NE., and Mary Ann (Jerzy, Matuszewski) Farr, Maricopa, Arizona and numerous nieces and nephews.
