

PAUL EUGENE MORTON---of Surprise, passed away November 17. He was born in Portsmouth, OH, June 7, 1934, to Warren and Dedie Howell Morton. Paul was an artist, gardener, retired Phoenix Elementary School employee and co-editor of the Zane Grey Review. He loved to travel and spend time with family. Throughout his life, Paul loved and served his Lord; teaching Sunday School and leading others to know God. He served in the Army for 4 years and returning home from Korea he met his future wife, Jeanne. Those who knew Paul never doubted he was a faithful and trustworthy man to have as a friend. Paul leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Jeanne, two daughters, Lynette (David) Ellis—Phoenix; Lori (Scott) Rigler—AltaVista, VA; seven grandchildren: Meghan (Eric) Boardman, Joshua Ellis, Andrew Rigler, Karlie Rigler, Brooke Rigler, Rachel Ellis and Rebekah Ellis; one great grandchild—Aubreigh Boardman; his mother—Dedie Morton; two brothers and three sisters; several nieces and nephews; numerous friends and neighbors. His father and one granddaughter are deceased. Services will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, November 23, viewing at 1pm at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Rd, Phoenix.
