

Pauline D. Hall (Candela), 94, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2016 at Adagio Gardens Care Home in Phoenix, AZ. She is survived by her daughter Sandra (Joseph) Koenig of Mentor, Ohio, 5 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and her sister, Dolores (Candela) Licate of Phoenix. She was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Anna Candela, husband Russell, brother Anthony Candela, sister Marie (Candela) Colucci, and infant great-grandson, Noah Koenig.
Pauline was born and raised in Ashtabula, Ohio. After her marriage to Russell Hall, they moved to Euclid, Ohio where Pauline was a devoted wife and mother. She was active in many sports including, volleyball, golf, tennis and bowling. In 1977, Pauline and Russell retired to Arizona to be close to her family who needed home care. Pauline worked as an assistant in the credit office of Diamond’s department store (now Dillard’s) at the Paradise Valley Mall in Phoenix, was active in her church senior group, and was a member of the Good Sports Club affiliated with the Indoor Sports Club for the handicapped. Pauline will be remembered by all for her kind, compassionate, and caring nature, her great sense of humor, and her devotion to her family. She was loved by all who met her and she never had an unkind word to say to anyone. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A Funeral Mass is planned for 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 26 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 11001 North 40th St., Phoenix, AZ 85028. A memorial service will also be held in Mentor, OH at a future date.
