

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our father, Pete Gulick, 90, on September 22, 2010. Pete was born to Mary and Metro Gulick on November 23, 1919. Pete lived his life by being totally devoted to his wife and family. He served his country during WWII in the Philippines and New Guinea. He was an anti tank gunner and squad leader, and earned 3 Battle Stars during his 3 ½ years in the South Pacific. He married his beloved Mary in 1945, they moved to Erie, PA and he worked for General Electric in the Aerospace Division for 34 years. He was a devout Byzantine Catholic and was a passionate billiard player and loved a great game of baseball. He is survived by his devoted children: Dave (Sandy), Jerry, Chuck (Susan), Pete (Carol) Gulick and Joyce (Alan) Gough, 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, sisters Ann Bestvina and Helen Dishong, and many nieces and nephews. We are forever indebted to his special niece Loretta Gulick, for the loving care she gave him for the last 5 years. Visitation will be Sunday, September 26, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary 200 W. Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ. A funeral will be held Monday, September 27, 2010 at 9:30 AM at St. Stephen’s Byzantine Church 8141 N. 16th Street, Phoenix, AZ, with burial with military honors to follow at Phoenix Memorial Park.
