Phyllis graduated from a Massachusetts trade school where she studied commercial art, music and sewing. She then moved to Tucson, Arizona to live with her older brother John, who was later married to Judy, Phyllis beloved sister in law, and was owner of a pub named The Mint. She later moved to Phoenix. Phyllis had three children by her first marriage.
Phyllis was married to Cleve Lancaster November 14th, 1981, after a 10 year engagement. They fell in love the moment they met and have been in-love ever since
Phyllis worked hard and retired from Honeywell, always remembering her co-workers with fondness.
She painted all her life and belonged to different artist guilds and clubs. She enjoyed sewing, singing and dancing. Later in life she was an avid collector of dolls. After retirement she started tap dancing and singing, and would often go to the nursing homes to entertain and spend time with the residents. She was active in all her children’s activities, boy scouts, brownie leader, sports, and even competitive trail rides, local rodeo and parades. Cleve and Phyllis traveled after their retirement in a R.V. enjoying the sites and places all over this country. Phyllis was never quick to judge and knew how to give unconditional love with her family and friends. Most of all she enjoyed being surrounded by her loving family. Phyllis and Cleve have a combined total of nine children, 18 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Phyllis lived a full life and was loved by many. She will be greatly missed by her husband, children and their families; Chuck and partner Karen, John and wife Marleen, Kathleen (Katie), James and wife Melody, Bruce and wife Kate, Karen and partner Gina, and Carolyn.
