Ramona Rose King

Ramona Rose King, 81 of Phoenix, AZ peacefully passed away into the arms of the Lord on May 13, 2013. She was born into the Hopi tribe on October 19, 1931 in Tuba City, AZ to Albert and Eloise Poleeson. She worked many years for AT&T, City of Phoenix and the American Indian Association before her retirement in 1992. She was a long time member of the Westside Southern Baptist Church in Phoenix, and volunteered for numerous community youth groups. Rose will be missed and loved by all her family and friends. She is survived by her four children; David King, Debra King, Kim Obrzut and Sally Horst; five grandchildren; Jonathan King, Krystal Obrzut, Brooke Haven, Lindsey Obrzut, and Justin Horst; and two great-grandchildren; Miles and Mira Haven; and her youngest sister Judy Meyers. Rose is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, SFC Fred S. King, her parents, one brother and four sisters. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Friday, May 17, 2013 with the Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 PM at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W.
