

Richard Earl Vincent, 74, was born in Tucson, Arizona on January 25, 1942. He passed away on May 30, 2016 in Phoenix, Arizona. Richard was raised on the Buenos Aires Ranch near Sasabe, Arizona on the Mexican border. His family moved when he was twelve years old to Tempe, Arizona where he attended Tempe High School and Arizona State University. At ASU, Richard was a proud member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity where he was an “Eminent Archon;” a true gentleman. After graduation he began a career as an outstanding salesman in the hospital supply industry. Over the years he also entered a variety of races including the NYC Marathon and the Fiesta Bowl Marathon.
We will miss your beautiful smile Richard and are glad that you are now at peace. Richard was a wonderful Dad, Papa and family member and was dearly loved by his friends and family. He had a deep faith in God and loved his church.
Richard was preceded in death by his father Clayton Jay Vincent, mother Dolores Conley Vincent and brother Michael Vincent. Survivors include his devoted partner, Brian Johnson, former wife Susan Phelps, cherished sons Charles Clayton Vincent of San Diego and James Richard Vincent (Jennifer) of Tucson, his three granddaughters who were the light of his life: Ava Vincent, June Vincent and Scarlett Vincent; his brother John Vincent and sister Sherrie Vincent Scott.
A memorial service will be held at Phoenix First Congregational United Church of Christ, 1407 N Second Street, Phoenix, AZ 85004 on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Flowers are appreciated but so are donations to the church’s ministries; information at phoenixucc.org
