

Bob Hucko, age 73, passed away peacefully in Phoenix, Arizona on March 1st, 2013. He was born February 13th, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois to loving parents Paul and Anna Hucko. In 1945 when Bob was five years old, his family moved to Phoenix, Arizona. He graduated from Whittier Elementary and Phoenix Technical High School. He enjoyed his life’s work as a machinist. At the time of his death he was on long-term disability leave from Northstar Aerospace Phoenix (formerly D-Velco Manufacturing of Arizona, Inc.) where he had been employed 21 years as a Manual Lathe Machinist. Bob is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by daughter Sharon Hucko; grandchildren Shawn Hucko (Tiffany) and Ashley Herrell of Springfield, MO; sister Millie Crouch (Richard); half-brother Paul Knapek of Somonauk, IL; nephew Chuck Stanton (Beth) of Tuscon, AZ; friend and caregiver Laura Freemon, as well as other family and friends. Bob will be forever loved and missed by all. The family gives a special thank you to all who helped care for Bob during his illness, especially Laura and Hospice of the Valley (Gardiner Home). A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 22nd, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 719 North 27th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85009. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley at 1510 East Flower Street, Phoenix, Arizona 850147 or a charity of your choice.
