Robert P Rowland

Robert Paul Rowland (Bob) passed away at home with his family at his side on Friday, January 18, 2013. He was born on a farm in Pershing, IA on September 21, 1926 to Thomas D. Rowland and Laura LaVina (Fry). He is preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings. Is survived by his wife of over 50 years MaryAnn, son Thomas D. Rowland II (Sandy) of MO, daughter Holly V. Bosch (Colin) AZ, two grandsons George, of AZ, Tommy of (UT); 2 granddaughters, Tracy of AR, Kali of MO. Three great grand children, two step-grandsons, four step great-grandchildren. Also is survived by many nieces and nephews’ in the Midwest along with two nieces and their husbands of Prescott, AZ. Bob and his family moved to Arizona in 1966 to get out of the cold weather and never regretted the decision. He loved motorcycling in the desert and in the mountains, enjoyed fishing and camping. He took pride in caring for his yard and flowers. He was a World War II Army Veteran serving in the Philippines; was a member of the American Legion Pat Tillman Post 117, Phoenix, AZ. He will be deeply missed. He is “Un Hombre de Hombres” Descanse En Paz.
