

Robert Henry Sawyer passed away at home peacefully at the age of 82 on 2/11/15. He was born on January 23, 1933 in Chestertown, NY to Doris (Hamilton) and Henry Sawyer of Keeseville, NY. He was a cancer survivor since 2009, treated for Alzheimer’s/Dementia since late 2012 and most recently was diagnosed with Parkinson disease.
Robert graduated in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts from MIT in Massachusetts. Robert was a baptized member of Ambassador Heights Baptist Church since 1980’s. He served in the Korean War, retired 1993 from Mountain Bell after 26 years of service with (3) different Bell Companies. Robert enjoyed travel, old time radio tapes, extra-class ham operator, nature reading and most of all studying God’s Word. His favorite song was “Jesus Loves Me This I Know.”
Robert is preceded in death by his mother and father, Doris and Henry Sawyer and his aunt and uncle, Carrie and John Sawyer of Phoenix, AZ.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mabel Moffatt Sawyer and his brother, John James Sawyer of Plattsburg, NY.

Jarkowski since mid-2013 has given herself as a companion to Bob and helping in so many other ways.
Robert and his wife were the marketing couple Feb 2014 promoting the Palliative Care Dementia Program of the Hospice of the Valley, Phoenix, AZ.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Greenwood Memory Lawn Chapel, 719 N 27th Ave., Phoenix
AZ. 85009 at 11 AM 2/18/15. Viewing from 10 AM to 11 AM.
