Roberta J Wilson

Roberta Jean Sickler Wilson, born on November 22, 1924, passed away early Saturday morning, November 12, 2011 at Hospice of the Valley surrounded by family and friends. Bobbie was just a few days shy of her 87th birthday, and had been struggling with various health problems for the last couple of years. Known as both Bobbie and Jeanie to her family, she is survived by her sisters Nancy and Dory and their families, and the families of her deceased brother and sister, Robert and Adelaide as well as her children, Jenny Ollivier, Jackie Scott, and Bill Wilson, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. “Nana” was a doting grandparent and kept up with the lives of all her family members, no matter where they lived.

Bobbie possessed a kind and gentle spirit and loved life even when it was difficult. She sent cards to everyone and wrote newsy letters all of her life. She enjoyed talking on the phone to her family in her later years and laughed at even the corniest jokes. Her encouraging words, beautiful smile, easy laugh and zest for life will be sorely missed. She took with her a heart so big it was able to hold all of her family with all the love they needed. We will miss her in so many ways on so many days.
