He was in the printing business for many years, then became a beloved teacher, was very involved and active in the theater community, a self-taught gourmet chef, and a talented carpenter. He also enjoyed golf, watching movies, dining out with his wife, and spending time with his 9 grandchildren.
This devoted husband and father, and prominent member of his community, is survived by his wife, Catherine Pherson daughters Jessica Pherson and Mallory Carpinski, and nine grandchildren: Lily, April, Johnny, Seth, Nathan, Seraphina, Jeremiah, Elinor, and Gabriel, and sons-in-law Paul Anderson and John Carpinski.
