Rowena V. Deserano was born September 30, 1930 in Poolville, Parker, Texas to Orley and Elva Kidder. With much sadness to her family, she passed away at the age of 88 on October 24th, 2018 in Phoenix, AZ with loved ones by her side.
Rowena retired from the Arizona State Department of Parks and Recreation after 20+ years of service. She was also a charter member of Order of the Eastern Star, Peoria Chapter #59
She always loved to be the life of the party and was the happiest when she was around any of the grandchildren, great grandchildren or great great grandchildren. She enjoyed bingo and going to the casino whenever she could.
Rowena is survived by her son Mackie Deserano (Rosie), son Bob Deserano (Bob), daughter Jo Park (Neal), 13 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband John Deserano, daughter Rowena Sturmer, sister Ethel Laubacher, sister Imogene Vest and brother Mack Kidder. She is the last of her siblings to pass away.
Services will include a viewing at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 N. 27th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ on Thursday, November 1st, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. (Please use the 27th Avenue Entrance). Memorial Service will be Friday, November 2nd, 2018, beginning at 10:00 am with the Graveside Service immediately following at 11:30 am.
