Ruth W. Holmes, 98, passed away on January 26, 2012, in Phoenix, AZ. She was born March 2, 1913, in Middlebourne, WV, to John Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Sturgis West. Ruth graduated from West Virginia University and received her MA from the University of Pittsburgh. She worked for Columbia Gas Company in Charleston, WV, as an engineering draftswoman and retired to Phoenix in 1982. A private ceremony will be held in her honor and memory.
